The PRP facial, sometimes called a “Vampire Facial”, is a minimally invasive and painless procedure that uses the patient’s own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). The PRP, which contains powerful growth factors, that when applied
To perform your PRP facial, our team at PRP Center of Hawaii uses a collagenizing machine that utilizes electric pulses to help the PRP permeate into the skin. Opposed to typical collagen induction therapies (CIT), our method is based on Biophysical principles, which allow the delivery of heavy molecular catalysts (the PRP) deep into the skin where they are needed, without the use of needles and their consequential discomfort.
This treatment stimulates collagen production, accelerates cell turnover, and promotes tissue repair, leading to improved skin texture, tone, and overall radiance.
Our Honolulu, Hawaii patients have seen a range of benefits that a PRP facial can provide for their skin, making them a popular choice for individuals seeking rejuvenation and improvement in their complexion. Some of the key benefits of PRP facials include:
Good candidates for this procedure have no severe skin conditions and are in fairly good health.
The best candidates for a Hawaii PRP Facial are those with ‘crepey’ skin, an ailment where the skin wrinkles and folds due to poor underlying support and brittle surface tissue.

First Steps
The first step in getting a PRP Facial in Hawaii is to schedule your consultation. During this appointment, your provider will listen to your goals from the facial treatment, answer any questions or concerns you may have, and give you an evaluation to determine the best treatment plan for you. When asked, you should be extremely honest about your medical history during this appointment as it will help prevent any potential side effects or risks as well as allow for the best healing results.
Once you agree with the plan, you will be able to schedule your appointment with our Patient Coordinator who will also provide you with any pre-treatment instructions and a price breakdown for the treatment.
On the day of your PRP Facial, your in-office treatment will begin with a warm welcome from the reception team at Clinical Labs, our wonderful 1st-floor neighbors who will check you in and perform the blood drawing portion of your treatment. Their licensed phlebotomists will draw a small amount of your blood with a tiny needle in a professional and sterile setting, which is then spun in a centrifuge that will separate your red blood cells from the platelet-rich plasma – this plasma will then be used for the procedure. The PRP will be brought to our office by a member of Clinical Labs once it is prepared.
After the withdrawal, you will then come to our office for your treatment, where we will make you comfortable in our treatment chair. Your provider will then use the handheld device that is coated with your PRP and gently guide it around your entire face. As the device pulses the electric field, it creates a voltage across your cell membrane that opens up your pores to let the PRP infiltrate your epidermis to reach the deeper layers of your skin cells.
Once the pulse moves from the treated area, your pores will reseal and the cells begin to “heal” with the additional properties of your PRP reviving and invigorating your skin. You will notice an instant reduction in lines and wrinkles, refined skin elasticity, resculpted tissue, and a noticeably youthful appearance.
You should expect at least one day of downtime and there may be some imperfections in your skin for a few days, but most patients report that this can easily be covered up with makeup. Since PRP has so many wonderful healing properties, your healing is drastically quicker than a typical microneedling treatment with a basic serum.
One of the many wonderful things about PRP is that it promotes many growth factors, which include stimulation of collagen production and energized cells. Following your procedure, you can expect a reduction in fine lines, an improvement in the texture and tone of the skin, and an improvement in dark pigmentation and scars.
What is the cost?
The cost of a PRP Facial in Hawaii will vary from patient to patient but will primarily be determined by the extent of the treatment you will require. The best way to determine how much your treatment will be is to come in for your consultation. After your provider has assessed your needs, our Patient Coordinator will be able to provide you with a better idea of your price breakdown.
